Main Lesson: Form Drawing -  Foundations for Writing with Ms. Meaghan

Last week the children continued working in their main lesson books and we are moving forward beautifully with learning our letters and sounds and embodying the alphabet as we go!

Our games of Honey Bunny are beginning to get more and more complex and challenging. Currently we are creating a list of all of our Honey Bunny words so that we can write a song with them as a class later this week. 

There has been true joy in learning letters and playing with language and sounds. The class also has been working on form drawings and writing their letters; continuing to practice their straight and curved lines from the first day of main lesson this year. 

In team course challenge the children joined their teams to create a bird feeder (from sunflower butter, bird seed, string)  and place it in that location of their choosing around Mettabee. We then made our way around the land looking at each team creation and thinking about the birds who are getting ready to make their migrations south for the wintertime. What a lovely offering the children gave for that journey!
