Main Lesson: Form Drawing -  Foundations for Writing with Ms. Meaghan

Last week as we continued our main lesson work with our letters and sounds from the Magic Mountain story, the children are now experiencing the predictability and rhythms of the program. I can notice that as a group, they are finding a settled and harmonious social dynamic. New friendship are forming as they begin to feel at home in the program. 

In the main lesson, I introduced the vowel sounds and we will be practicing those for the remainder of this main lesson. The wonderful thing about the vowels is once the children know them and recognize their sound and function in words, they can already start experiencing the beginnings of reading! It’s a joy to play literacy games with them as we continue to discover the wonders of letters and language.
